Revised EMCC softball schedule has Mississippi Gulf Coast visiting Scooba for Friday doubleheader

Coach Kate Neely’s EMCC Lady Lions softball team will play host to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Friday afternoon in a 2 p.m. doubleheader at the EMCC Softball Field on the Scooba campus.
SCOOBA – The weather continues to play havoc with East Mississippi Community College’s baseball and softball schedules.  Due to the recent heavy rains and resulting poor field conditions already sustained and with more rain expected again this weekend, EMCC’s rescheduled Friday home baseball doubleheader against Mississippi Gulf Coast CC has been cancelled.

In addition, because of anticipated heavy rains expected for Mississippi’s Gulf Coast again this weekend, the EMCC softball team and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College have agreed to play a 2 p.m. doubleheader Friday at the EMCC Softball Field on the Scooba campus.  Last Friday in Perkinston, the two teams were only able to complete one inning of the first game of a scheduled doubleheader before the rains came and washed away the twinbill.
