Mississippi Bowl to be video streamed by Panhandle Sports Broadcasting

The fifth-ranked East Mississippi Lions will battle the No. 6 Matadors of Arizona Western Sunday afternoon in the 2009 Mississippi Bowl. Kickoff for the second annual bowl event is set for 2 p.m. at Biloxi Indian Stadium.
SCOOBA – Football fans will have several broadcasting opportunities to experience Sunday’s Mississippi Bowl game between fifth-ranked East Mississippi and No. 6 Arizona Western in Biloxi.  Kickoff for the second annual bowl contest is set for 2 p.m. at Biloxi Indian Stadium.

Panhandle Sports Broadcasting (PSB) will provide live streaming video coverage of the event, beginning with a 1:30 p.m. preview show.  Fans can access Sunday’s Mississippi Bowl coverage by logging onto www.PSBLive.com.  Ryan Bonifant is set to call the play-by-play action for PSB with Bill Snyder slated for color analysis duties.  Based in Pensacola, Fla., Panhandle Sports Broadcasting is a regional sports internet broadcasting company that provides coverage of college, high school and youth sports through internet streaming in audio and video media.

Sunday’s Mississippi Bowl contest will be broadcast locally by WFCA-FM radio (107.9) with Jason Crowder set to describe the play-by-play action and Glen Beard slated to provide the color analysis.  The game can be heard online via EMCC’s athletics website – http://athletics.eastms.edu – or by logging onto www.wfca108.com.

Junior college football fans will also be able to listen to the Mississippi Bowl radio broadcast via www.jucoweekly.com, a new website venture created by Mike Frazer to promote junior college athletics within the state of Mississippi.  Joining Frazer on the broadcast, which is also slated to air on The Fan Sports Radio in Jackson (99.1 FM/970 AM), will be color commentator Dave Lanuti and field correspondent Russ Robinson.

Tickets for Sunday’s Mississippi Bowl, pitting EMCC head coach Buddy Stephens’ 10-1 Lions against the 9-1 AWC Matadors, are available at a cost of $8 in advance of the game and $10 on game day.  Tickets can be purchased by calling 601-928-6344 or logging onto www.mississippibowl.com
