SCOOBA, Miss. – EMCC soccer coach Junior Noel has added another group of men’s signees for this year, as Quitman natives Justin Knight and Corey Devun, Saltillo’s Josh Harden and Seth Wood of Caledonia have signed national letters-of-intent with the Lions.

Knight and Devun both played previously for Noel at Quitman High School, though Devun is finishing his prep career at Heidelberg Academy.  In scoring 24 goals as a forward this past fall for QHS, Knight earned first-team all-district honors and was named team MVP.  Devun played primarily midfield at Heidelberg and was tabbed as the club’s most improved player this past year.

Harden was selected to the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal’s All-Area High School Soccer Team as a senior goalkeeper at Saltillo High School, in addition to being a member of four district champion cross country teams for the Tigers.

Having played midfield and forward at Caledonia High School, Wood scored 18 goals to help lead the Confederates to a school-best 14-5 record and runner-up finish at the Class 4A North State championship this past year.  A second-team all-district performer as a junior, Wood teamed with EMCC baseball signee Tyler Aldridge on Caledonia’s soccer team during their varsity careers.

The foursome joins previously announced EMCC men’s soccer signees Steven Geraci (DeSoto Central HS), Brian Meza (Brandon HS) and James Nichols (Northwest Rankin HS).
