EMCC head baseball coach Chris Rose and his Lions coaching staff will conduct summer camps on the Scooba campus and at Columbus’ Propst Park during the month of July.
SCOOBA – Summer athletic camp activity continues on the East Mississippi Community College campus in July, as the EMCC baseball coaching staff will hold three-day camps, for youths between the ages of 7-14, in Scooba and Columbus during the month.

Directed by EMCC head baseball coach Chris Rose, an All Skills Camp will begin Monday (July 2) and run through Wednesday at EMCC’s Gerald Poole Field.  The cost will be $65 per camper.  An Elite Hitting/Pitching Camp will follow in Scooba on Thursday and Friday (July 5-6) at a cost $115.  With a savings of $40, a combo package is also available for those campers interested in participating in both baseball camps being held in Scooba.

Later in the month, the EMCC baseball staff, including Lions assistant coach and former University of Alabama head baseball coach Jim Wells, will be at Propst Park in Columbus to conduct another three-day (July 18-20) All Skills Camp at a cost of $75 per camper.  The Lions will close out the month (July 30-31) in Columbus with another Elite Hitting/Pitching Camp at a cost of $125.  Once again, a discounted combo package will offer a $50 savings to anyone interested in taking part in both baseball camps in Columbus.

All EMCC baseball camps will take place during the morning hours (9 a.m.-noon) with registration and check-in beginning at 8:30 a.m.  Additional information on any of the Lions Baseball Camps is available by contacting EMCC head baseball coach Chris Rose (662-476-5343 and This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or assistant coach Eric House (662-476-5067 and This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ).
