SCOOBA – East Mississippi Community College’s annual summer athletic camps will keep things busy on and off the Scooba campus this summer. During the months of June and July, EMCC will be offering athletic camps for football, women’s basketball, softball and baseball.
Sullivan-Windham Field, the home of the NJCAA National Champion EMCC Lions football team, will stay busy this summer with a pair of football camps taking place in Scooba. The reigning national and state junior college football champions will first offer a 7-on-7 Passing Camp on Wednesday, June 20 with registration set to begin at 9 a.m. EMCC is also slated to conduct a Lineman Camp, June 26-28, for student-athletes entering grades 9-12. Please contact EMCC assistant football coaches Clifton Collins (662-476-5129) or Marcus Wood (662-476-5131) for additional information on East Mississippi’s 7-on-7 Passing Camp. Directed by head coach Chris Rose, the EMCC baseball coaching staff is slated to hold summer camps on the Scooba campus as well as in Columbus during the month of July for youths between the ages 7-14. On campus at EMCC’s Gerald Poole Field, the Lions will offer a three-day (July 2-4) All Skills Camp at a cost of $65 per camper. An Elite Hitting/Pitching Camp will follow on July 5-6 at a cost $115. With a savings of $40, a combo package is also available for those campers interested in participating in both baseball camps being held in Scooba.
