SALTILLO – Making their third regional golf appearance in the last four years, the East Mississippi Community College Lions placed fourth at this week’s NJCAA Region 23 Golf Championship held at Big Oaks Golf Club. The two-day tournament hosted by Northeast Mississippi Community College concluded Monday.
The Bulldogs of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College captured their fifth consecutive NJCAA Region 23 golf team title by carding a two-day total of 615 (299-316) to finish with a seven-stroke advantage. Copiah-Lincoln Community College edged Northwest Mississippi Community College by three shots, 622-625, to claim runner-up team honors.
