SCOOBA – Rain has forced postponement of East Mississippi Community College’s Tuesday home softball doubleheader against Jones County JC. A makeup date has not been announced.
In another weather-related EMCC softball scheduling item, the Lady Lions are slated to play a makeup game at Northeast Mississippi Community College on Thursday (March 10). Set for a 1 p.m. starting time at the Booneville City Park, Thursday’s makeup contest will be a culmination of a twinbill played last Friday in Booneville. EMCC claimed a 6-4 victory over the Lady Tigers in last week’s opening game that was shortened to six innings due to inclement weather. Head coach Kate Neely’s EMCC Lady Lions are currently 3-0 in MACJC North Division play and 5-9 overall on the year. East Mississippi will continue division play at Holmes in a Friday (March 11) doubleheader set to commence at 3 p.m. in Goodman. |
