| EMCC to hold softball tryouts on Scooba campus Monday, May 24 |

SCOOBA – East Mississippi Community College will hold softball tryouts Monday (May 24) on the Scooba campus. Tryouts are set to begin at 3 p.m. on the EMCC Softball Field.
Open to high school seniors who have not been previously protected by any NJCAA member school, EMCC’s softball tryouts will be conducted by East Mississippi head softball coach Kate Neely and assistant coach Casey Finch. Having finished second in this year’s MACJC North Division softball standings, the Lady Lions have made back-to-back state tournament appearances the past two years. Tryout participants are asked to bring their own softball equipment, including gloves, cleats, bats and helmets. Catchers are also asked to bring their own equipment as well.
