East Mississippi's home baseball opener delayed until Sunday |

SCOOBA – Due to lingering wet field conditions caused by Friday’s snowfall in the southern part of the state, East Mississippi Community College’s 2010 baseball season opener has been pushed back to Sunday with the cancellation of Saturday’s home doubleheader against Marion Military Institute.
Head coach Tony Montgomery’s EMCC Lions now look to make their 2010 season debut Sunday against Copiah-Lincoln in a 1 p.m. doubleheader at refurbished Gerald Poole Field on the Scooba campus. Originally slated for Friday but pushed back due to the impending wintry weather, Sunday’s twinbill against Co-Lin is scheduled to be broadcast on www.colinathletics.com and locally in the Brookhaven area on WMJU-FM (104.3).
