EMCC Lions jump eight spots to No. 14 nationally in NJCAA men's hoops poll Print E-mail
SCOOBA – Winners of 10 of their last 11 decisions, the EMCC Lions have moved up eight notches to No. 14 nationally in this week’s NJCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Top 25 poll.

Coach Mark White’s 18-3 Lions currently own a two-game lead over second-place Itawamba and Northeast Mississippi in the MACJC’s North Division standings with a 7-1 league mark.  The only blemish on EMCC’s ledger dating back to December was a 64-61 setback at Mississippi Delta two weeks ago.

Owners of a current four-game winning streak, the Lions head to Fulton to take on defending North Division champion Itawamba on Thursday.  Basketball action at ICC’s Davis Event Center is set to commence at 6 p.m. with the women’s contest, followed by men’s action beginning at 8 p.m.
