SCOOBA – In time for the holidays, championship apparel and DVDs are available from East Mississippi Community College’s 2009 state football title and recent Mississippi Bowl game victory.
EMCC bookstores located on the Golden Triangle and Scooba campuses are selling MACJC state football championship T-shirts and hoodies in honor of the Lions’ memorable 75-71 victory over Mississippi Gulf Coast. The GT bookstore is scheduled to be open throughout the week (Dec. 14-18), while the Scooba bookstore is slated to be open Monday through Wednesday (Dec. 14-16). Also, state football championship DVDs are available through the EMCC Development Foundation office on the Scooba campus. The $25 DVD contains complete-game video and audio coverage of the Lions’ exciting victory over MGCCC in this year’s MACJC state championship football game played in Scooba. EMCC’s Development Foundation office also continues to take orders for the forthcoming Mike Frascogna book about legendary Hall of Fame football coach Bob “Bull” Sullivan – “Bull Cyclone and the Lions of Scooba, Mississippi.” The EMCC Development Foundation office can be reached by calling (662) 476-5063. In addition to EMCC state championship apparel and DVDs being available locally at the Golden Triangle and Scooba campuses, commemorative items are also available from the Lions’ 27-24 victory over Arizona Western College during the 2009 Mississippi Bowl contest played earlier this month in Biloxi.
