| North Pontotoc's Stephen Denton signs with EMCC Soccer |

.jpg "Image") Stephen Denton of North Pontotoc High School has become East Mississippi Community College’s most recent men’s soccer signee. A five-year starter for head coach Joe Hunsucker at North Pontotoc, Denton helped lead the 2008 Vikings to a 12-4-2 record en route to claiming the Division 1-3A championship last fall. Individually, Denton earned the club’s Leadership Award as a senior team captain. Denton collected seven career goals while primarily playing the defensive stopper position during his varsity career at North Pontotoc. Denton joins previously announced EMCC men’s soccer signees Mike Hayward of Columbus High School, Starkville’s Eduardo Fumo, Brandon’s Brian Meza, James Nichols of Northwest Rankin, Saltillo’s Josh Harden, Justin Knight of Quitman, Heidelberg Academy’s Corey Devun, along with the Caledonia High School trio of Tyler Pounders, Taylor Chisolm and Seth Wood. |
