EMCC soccer signs Quitman's Jaqualynn Dae McCarra Print E-mail

Jaqualynn Dae McCarra of Quitman High School recently became the fifth women’s soccer player to sign with the EMCC Lady Lions.
SCOOBA – Jaqualynn Dae McCarra of Quitman High School has signed a national letter of intent to play soccer for East Mississippi Community College, as announced by EMCC head soccer coach Junior Noel.


A 5-foot-6 midfielder/forward, McCarra was a second-team all-district performer at Quitman in 2007 and 2006.  She also earned most improved player honors for head coach Brian Jordan’s Panthers as a junior in 2007.

Away from the soccer field, McCarra participated as a cheerleader and was a member of the Quitman High School color guard for four years.  She has also played the trombone as a school band member since the sixth grade.  In addition, McCarra has been involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization at QHS and was a member of the Mu Alpha Theta mathematics honors society.


The daughter of Beverly Lewis of Quitman and Jeff Lewis of Meridian, and Joey and Gail McCarra of Quitman, she has three brothers and two sisters along with two nephews and one niece.

McCarra joins previously announced EMCC women’s soccer signees Ebone’ Gaskin and Avraya Sharkey of Greenville-Weston High School, India Whittle of Neshoba Central High School and Nichola Crenshaw of Meridian High School.
